A Taste of Freedom is written by Ven. Ajahn Chah. Venerable Ajahn Chah's discourses were always delivered in plain, everyday language. His goal was to clarify the Dhamma, not to overwhelm his audience with too much knowledge.
As a result, the talks offered here have been translated into as simple English as possible. The goal has been to present both the spirit and the letter of Ajahn Chah's teaching. In 1976, Venerable Ajahn Chah and Ajahn Sumedho were invited to England, and the result was the foundation of the first Wat Pa Pong branch monastery outside of Thailand.
Additional branch monasteries have since been founded in England, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, and Italy.
